Stress Management – Are You a Hyperstress-Chondriac?

With all the pharmaceutical ads on TV telling us if we have this symptom or that other symptom that we should call our doctors and ask them about some certain type of drug usually ending in an X or begins with a Y or Z. It is unfortunate that the pharmaceutical industry has decided to put the fear into citizens and scary stuff onto their TV sets scaring them because this causes stress and stress is very on healthy.

Perhaps, there is a method to their madness and they figure if people watch TV five hours a day and are stressed out or worried about their health than they are likely to see a doctor and therefore by pharmaceutical drugs. That is all well and good for the industry, but it is very unhealthy for Americans to be hyper stressed out, or to become hypochondriacs.

Often, we find older folks that are on Medicare and they go to the hospital three times a week, and they often get a series of tests or a battery of procedures, and then sign up for multiple surgeries and operations.

Quite frankly, the average citizen doesn’t need all those operations and as folks get older it is often more dangerous to do the operation then it is not too, so it is actually hurting their health not helping them. Not to mention it cost the taxpayers a ton of money from people going to hospital and they don’t need to go.

Unfortunately what we have created is a nation of hypochondriacs, and hyper stressed individuals that is have trouble managing the stress of their lives. I hope you will please consider all this and think about how you can turn off the TV or fast-forward those advertisements.
